Privacy Policy

Welcome to TaskFills ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and otherwise process personal information when you use our platform, website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

TaskFills operates as an online marketplace platform that facilitates connections between individuals and businesses (collectively, "Clients" or "Employers") seeking short‑term, temporary, or project‑based services ("Gigs" or "Tasks") and independent users ("Applicants" or "Taskers") who choose to offer services through the platform. TaskFills is an information technology service provider and does not employ users, provide staffing or recruiting services, or control the terms, execution, or outcome of any engagement between users.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable global data protection laws, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA"), the Act on the Protection of Personal Information ("APPI"), the Personal Data Protection Act ("PDPA"), the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados ("LGPD"), the Protection of Personal Information Act ("POPIA"), and other applicable privacy and data protection laws in the jurisdictions where our users are located.

By accessing or using TaskFills, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree that your personal information will be collected, used, and disclosed as described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information that users voluntarily provide to us and information that is generated automatically through your use of the Services, for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the marketplace.

  • Account Information – Name, email address, phone number, password or other login credentials, and account preferences.
  • Profile Information – Skills, experience, education, portfolios, preferences, availability, optional profile photo, and other information you choose to include in your profile, job postings, or gig descriptions.
  • Communication Data – Messages exchanged between users via the platform, communications with our support team, and related metadata (such as time stamps).
  • Verification Information (Optional) – Information provided by users who choose to complete additional identity verification steps, such as government‑issued identification documents, selfies or facial images for matching purposes, and related verification metadata.
  • Payment & Transaction Data – Billing details, linked payment methods, limited payment card information processed via PCI‑compliant providers, payout information, and transaction history related to Platform fees, unlocks, and other permitted charges.
  • Device & Usage Data – IP address, device identifiers, browser type and settings, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, clicks, and other interactions with the Services.
  • Location Data – Approximate or precise location information depending on your device settings and permissions, used for discovery, security, and fraud‑prevention purposes.

TaskFills does not knowingly collect or process personal data that is unrelated to the operation, security, or improvement of the marketplace and our Services.

Verification Levels & Biometric Processing

TaskFills offers optional verification levels that users may choose to complete in order to display additional profile indicators:

  • Unverified: Basic phone number or email verification to reduce spam and unauthorized access.
  • Premium: Identity document submission and photo matching to provide additional confidence about identity.
  • Elite: Premium verification plus live face liveness verification and enhanced checks designed to further reduce impersonation and fraud.

Identity and biometric verification (including facial image capture, face matching, and liveness checks) are conducted through third‑party service providers such as Amazon Rekognition or other comparable providers. These processes are used solely to confirm identity ownership, detect fraud, and help protect the integrity and security of the Platform. TaskFills does not conduct comprehensive background checks, assess character, or independently evaluate suitability for any Gig or Task.

Biometric data and related identifiers are collected and processed only with explicit, informed user consent, in accordance with applicable law, and are not reused, repurposed, or retained beyond what is necessary to complete the verification process and satisfy legal, regulatory, or security requirements.
